Give To Get and Host Events, Inc., Launch New Partnership
Give To Get and Host Events, Inc., have launched a new partnership to bring social impact to a larger audience. From virtual magic shows to mixology classes, Host Events, Inc., has been keeping teams engaged throughout the pandemic. With an overall goal of building community through connection, it was natural for social impact and virtual volunteering to be added into their mix.
“Coupling philanthropy and team bonding is something that creates a sense of uniqueness,” said Brian Megill, Host Events, Inc., Co-Founder and COO. “Many companies and teams are always looking for ways to make a difference and/or give back, and our partnership with Give To Get allows just that! We couldn’t be more excited for the future of events through our partnership.”
By partnering with Give To Get, a company that also pivoted to create virtual events in 2020, Host Events, Inc., will now be able to meet their clients’ desires to support their community through volunteerism. While the plan is to rotate the causes as the partnership grows, Host Events, Inc., is currently offering two virtual social impact programs, including a STEM program, which supports underserved youth education initiatives, and an ECO program, which supports bee populations and benefits the local environment.
The STEM boxes allow volunteers to support teachers, youth educators, and parents by providing hands-on learning opportunities that keep children engaged and curious either via remote learning or in the classroom. To complete the project, each participant receives a box at their home, complete with the supplies to create circuitry kits and pre-paid postage to send the finished goods to the awaiting nonprofit. They also receive cards of support that they can fill out for students. On the day of the event, they’ll engage in the virtual program alongside their teammates and their host, Hannah Urano, one of Give To Get’s senior social impact managers.
The ECO boxes support the environment by provide bee hotels for the species, which is in dire need of support. Along with the supplies to build and decorate the hotels, participants are provided with items to make seed balls which produce bee-friendly flowers.
“After 25 years of doing social impact work, we’ve developed ways for people to make a meaningful impact on local communities from home,” said Grady Lee, Co-Founder and CEO of Give To Get. “It has been awesome to see the enthusiasm around virtual volunteering grow over the last year, and we are very excited to partner with Host Events, Inc., to reach an even larger audience and create more impact.”
