Need
SiriusXM has produced exclusive, small-venue shows for its subscribers for many years. They work with A-list artists and produce pop-up style shows in intimate settings providing a money can’t buy experience. Wanting to add a social impact component to these events, they called Give To Get to find a partner who could execute quickly. When the Eric Church opportunity arose, both teams jumped into action.
Approach
The event was to take place in Nashville in a few weeks. Give To Get worked with Eric Church’s management team to find causes and charities that had meaning for him and his Church Choir charity. We settled on the cause of food insecurity, developed projects and partnerships with four organizations in the Nashville area. The projects were scheduled, a website designed and subscriber emails sent within two weeks.
Impact
After a week of projects, nearly 200 volunteers worked with the Nashville Food Project, Second Harvest, The Store and the Society of St. Andrew to pack nearly 1,400 weekend meals for kids, build 1,000 square feet of new gardens and harvest more than 400 pounds of food from local farms for community kitchens. Each volunteer earned an exclusive ticket to see Eric Church at Chief’s in Nashville. At the show, a recap video played on the stage, and Eric Church thanked the volunteers with a 90 minute set broadcast on his SiriusXM Channel. He and SiriusXM have pledged to do it again!
